Yes, the BPI cover is designed for individual, self-employed therapists/technicians and insures you wherever you work in the Republic of Ireland, whether it is mobile, from your home, from a client’s home etc.
You should buy the Beauty policy as it includes all nail and hair treatments along with a wide range of beauty and holistic treatments.
No, unfortunately we do not cover these treatments.
You will need a full Salon package which insures you, your employees and the public along with your stock and contents all in one comprehensive policy.
Yes you can do this by logging onto your account at any point during the year, selecting the extra treatment cover you require, and paying the additional premium plus a small administration fee. You can also contact the helpline and we can add this on for you as well.
This policy is for individual self-employed therapists only and so you are not able to add anyone else. If you are employing someone, you will need a Salon policy that includes Employers Liability as well. This will also cover Treatment liabilities for yourself and all your qualified staff.
No, we only need to see these in the event of a claim.
Unfortunately, there is no straight forward answer to this. We normally ask for a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in the areas that you are wishing to practice in, however for more advanced Beauty treatments, we would require an NVQ Level 3 or similar. If you are unsure whether you can be insured by us, please call to check.
The basic policies don’t cover this automatically, however on Step 2 of the quote and buy process, you can add the property extension for an additional fee, and this will cover your stock and equipment up to the value of €5,000. If you have more stock or equipment than this, you may want to consider a salon policy instead.
This is likely to be because you are viewing it on an ipad or an iphone which unfortunately aren’t compatible with this type of document. If you view it on any other device you will see the detail without a problem, and if you have a modern printer, your details should come out when you print.
No, not at all. The future pay agreement is so that when your renewal is due the following year, if you are happy with your policy and wish to continue, we can instruct Worldpay to take the money again from the card that you used to pay for it, meaning that you don’t have to do anything at all to renew. The agreement says unlimited only because if you add any other additional extensions during the year, we would need to add the renewal value of those, to your existing policy amount and take payment for the total.
No, we do not hold your card details. They are only available to Worldpay, the payment service provider, and they will only use them when we instruct them to at renewal.
Yes, it is absolutely vital that you inform us if you have changed email address, as your renewal documents and notices will be sent to the email address we have on the system for you. You can do this by logging in to your policy account using the old email address at http://www.beautyprofessionalinsurance.ie/my-policy/ using the password you set up when you purchased the policy, and changing your email address there, or by contacting us.
If you log in to your policy at http://www.beautyprofessionalinsurance.ie/my-policy/using the details you set up when you purchased the policy, you can change the address there and a new certificate will be immediately available. If you aren’t able to do this, you can call the helpline or email us and we will make the change for you.
Please check your Junk Mail as sometimes your email provider will put it there. If it does, please add us to your contacts so that when your renewal details are sent out the following year, you don’t miss them. Many people don’t need their documents printed, so firstly, if you don’t need to, then just save them somewhere on your computer or as above, you can access them online at any point during the year. If you still need a printed copy of your certificate, you can call us and we’ll post one out to you. Please be aware that there are many documents and pages of information that support these policies and therefore for environmental reasons we try as much as we can to reduce the amount of paper we use within our business. We kindly ask if you do not need printed copies of all the documents, that you let us know when you call us.
If you have checked your inbox and junk/spam email and the documents are not there, please either log in to your account in the existing customers tab of our website, or call us and we can resend them to you.
Please call us directly as soon as you receive your renewal instructions and we will make sure the policy is not renewed.

You can go online to our website and look them up on our Accredited Providers page, or if you check the website of the trainer and they display our logo on there, then they have been accredited by us. If you do not see either of these, you need to ask your training school to make contact with us themselves so that we can check their Training standards, course content and teaching qualifications.
